Robert Vicens
About Ravicens
I'm Robert Vicens—Ravicens when there's music involved. I'm a singer, songwriter, producer, and Army veteran from Carolina, Puerto Rico, now based in Utah.
I spent about ten years as Elwood with the Blues Brothers Soul Band, an unofficial tribute act. These days, I'm raising a family and building a live show of my own songs, with an album planned as a later phase.
Ravicens is music that makes you laugh, move, and groove; stirs sweet thoughts and tender feelings; and sometimes makes you cry. It’s music that sticks with you and moves you from where you are toward where you want to be, while reminding you where you came from. Onstage, I bring that spirit to life with energy you can feel and carry with you. It’s my particular brand of magic.

My story
My path ran from Carolina, Puerto Rico through Miami, Colorado, Tampa, and Las Vegas, back to the island, and finally to Utah. The career route took a few detours, too.
The stage
I performed as Elwood with the Blues Brothers Soul Band from 2010 to 2018, and again from 2021 to 2023. Alongside clubs and festivals, I was a regular in Fort Lauderdale's Jungle Queen riverboat variety show. After years in someone else's character, I'm building a show around my own songs.
The uniform
I served as a Public Affairs Soldier in the Army and completed my five-year contract. I've also been a teacher, salesman, and entrepreneur. There have been a few costume changes.
The personal part
I live with bipolar I disorder, diagnosed after a series of hospitalizations following my Army service. I've been stable for three years.
Where I am now
Today I'm raising a family in Utah and building Project Ravicens: my work as an artist and a producer.
Right now, I’m producing songs for a polished 60–90-minute live show of original music. An album is a later phase.
I'm looking for musicians, creative partners, and business collaborators. The aim is music worth sharing, experiences that bring people together, and a business that helps me keep making both.
